Keynote Speaker
Vivek Ranadivé
Vivek Ranadivé is the owner and chairman of the Sacramento Kings. He is an entrepreneur, technology visionary, best-selling author and philanthropist recognized for his innovative thinking. As a technology entrepreneur, Ranadivé pioneered the use of real-time event processing software and created TIBCO, a multibillion-dollar software company. In addition to digitizing Wall Street, his software became the central nervous system for most of the world’s largest companies and government agencies. Ranadivé is also the founder and managing partner of venture capital firm Bow Capital, a partnership with the University of California with a mission to fund technology companies that advance society and make the world a better place. Ranadivé is a longtime basketball fan whose affiliation with the NBA began in 2010, when he became the co-owner and vice chairman of the Golden State Warriors. In 2013, he became the first Indian majority owner of an NBA team when he purchased the Sacramento Kings, securing the team’s future in California’s capital city. A native of Bombay, India, Ranadivé earned both a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from MIT and obtained an MBA at Harvard, where he was a Baker Scholar.Moderator
Sanjay Subedar
Managing Director, Storm Ventures
Sanjay Subedar, born in Mumbai and raised in Kanpur, has a distinguished career in venture capital and entrepreneurship. He completed his BSc. from the University of Bombay (Elphinstone College) in 1973 and his MBA from Indiana University in 1976. Sanjay founded Storm Ventures in 2000 and has served on several private and public company boards. Before founding Storm Ventures, he was COO/CFO at E-TEK Dynamics, playing a key role in its rapid growth, IPO, and merger with JDS Uniphase. Earlier, he was CFO at StrataCom, leading to its merger with Cisco Systems. Sanjay serves on the Advisory Board of the Kelly School Entrepreneurship Program and has been inducted into the Indiana University Presidents Circle. Sanjay and his wife Suniti are dedicated to philanthropy, focusing on education as a transformative gift. They have supported various educational institutions, including the Indian School of Business, Ashoka University, and the Museum of Art and Photography in Bengaluru.

Paraag Marathe is a distinguished leader in both sports and business. As the chief contract negotiator and salary cap architect for the San Francisco 49ers, Marathe has been instrumental in the team’s financial strategies. He also oversees 49ers Enterprises’ business ventures and investments, including his role as chairman of Leeds United Football Club. Beyond his sports management roles, Marathe is a faculty member at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and an active philanthropist. He serves on the Board of Directors for Andrea’s Voice, Project HEAL, The Body Positive, and Sequoia Hospital Foundation. Marathe’s accolades include the Sports Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 and the Fritz Pollard Alliance’s Johnnie L. Cochran Salute to Excellence Award.

Medha is co-founder and chief technology officer of Casper Labs, where she oversees product development. Medha has more than 30 years of tech experience, including leadership roles at Adobe, Avalara and mp3.com. As Casper Labs CTO, Medha is on a mission to make blockchain the platform for doing business in the future.

Omi Vaidya is an Indian-American actor and filmmaker best known for his role as Chatur Ramalingam in the Bollywood film “3 Idiots,” which brought him widespread recognition and made him a household name. His portrayal of the stereotypical nerd, especially his comic timing in the “Chatur’s speech” scene, remains memorable in Indian cinema. Vaidya has since worked in both Bollywood and Hollywood, showcasing his versatility in various roles and genres, and continues to be celebrated for his comedic talent and charismatic persona. He is most proud of his new Marathi Movie “Aaicha Gavat Marathi Bol” that released in Maharashtra theaters earlier this year and is now on Amazon for all to see.
