We are delighted to announce that Mr. and Ms. BMM Fashion Show will be held at the prestigious biennial BMM 2024 Convention of the Bruhan Maharashtra Mandal (BMM) of North America. The Convention is scheduled to take place from June 27 to June 30, 2024, at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California.

The Bay Yuva Committee is heading this event which is all about having fun and embracing style where all ages are welcome, and no experience is required. It’s your moment to shine without any pressure—just pure enjoyment and a chance to express your unique flair, and enjoy the thrill of being part of a global gathering.
At the live Fashion Show Contest, a distinguished panel of judges from the fashion industry will assess participants on their walk, presence, and overall ability to captivate the audience.
This event is more than a contest; it’s a platform for expression, aiming to highlight the beauty and talent of individuals regardless of age.
Winners of the competition will be celebrated for their exceptional performance and will receive exciting prizes!

- Children (6-12): Ethnic Extravaganza
Title: “Little Stars Shine in Tradition”Welcome to a vibrant showcase of cultural brilliance! Our young fashionistas take center stage in a celebration of tradition and grace. From colorful ghagras to elegant kurtas, each outfit tells a story of heritage and charm. Watch as these budding stars light up the runway with their infectious energy and timeless style.
- Teenagers (13-19): Fusion Frenzy
Title: “Generation Z: Bridging Cultures with Style”Step into the world of contemporary fusion where East meets West in a harmonious blend of tradition and trend. Our teenage trailblazers redefine fashion with their innovative Indo-Western creations. From sassy saris with a modern twist to edgy kurta jackets paired with denim, these young trendsetters prove that style knows no boundaries. Get ready to be captivated by their fearless spirit and eclectic flair!
- Adults (20-35): Elegance Redefined
Title: “Maharashtrian Marvels: Grace in Tradition”Experience the allure of timeless elegance as we pay homage to the rich heritage of Maharashtra. Our adult models showcase the beauty and sophistication of Maharashtrian ethnic attire, from intricately embroidered nauvaris to regal paithanis. With each graceful step, they embody the essence of tradition and grace, reminding us that true beauty lies in embracing our roots. Not at all! We welcome participants with varying levels of experience. Our team is here to support and guide you every step of the way, regardless of your background. Just bring your passion for fashion, and we’ll handle the rest!
No specific restrictions on fabrics or materials are imposed, as long as your design respects the theme and is ethically sourced. We encourage the use of sustainable and eco-friendly materials.
We’re confident in your abilities to shine! We encourage participants to showcase their individual styles by doing their own hair and makeup. It’s a fantastic opportunity to let your creativity soar and add your personal flair to the runway. Don’t worry, you’ve got this!
While props/accessories are not mandatory, if you have any props or accessories you’d like to incorporate into your showcase, feel free to bring them along and make your moment truly unforgettable. We wouldn’t be providing any props to the participants, as we’d like to leave them to your imagination & creativity!
Judging criteria may include factors such as creativity, style, confidence, runway presence, and overall presentation. However, the final decision on winners will be in the capable hands of our esteemed judges. Their expertise and fair judgment will determine the ultimate champions of the fashion show competition.
Your safety, privacy, inclusivity are our top priorities for the fashion show. We’ve got all the measures in place to ensure a secure and comfortable experience for everyone involved.
